What to Do When Nothing Seems to Work in Your Life

Habakkuk 3:17- 19

17 Though the fig tree may not blossom,
Nor fruit be on the vines;
Though the labor of the olive may fail,
And the fields yield no food;
Though the flock may be cut off from the fold,
And there be no herd in the stalls—
18 Yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will joy in the God of my salvation.

19 The Lord God is my strength;
He will make my feet like deer’s feet,
And He will make me walk on my high hills.

There are times in life when families, people and society at large may come across challenges that seem unshakable. Note that I’ve used the word seem because no challenge is too strong for those that walk with God in spirit and in truth to overcome. The above Bible verses take us back to a time when things were tough for prophet Habakkuk. I’m thinking, similar to what the world is going through now with Covid-19. Remember that, God has not promised us anywhere that, we will walk through life without going through some trials but He promises victory and triumph to those that walk with Him. Habakkuk revealed to us a mystery to overcome the toughest of problems and to bring down the highest of mountains. The mystery is yet simple but produces dumbfounding miracles whenever it’s applied. The mystery is REJOICING in the Lord– the God of your salvation. Refuse to let what is happening in your life and in the world at large, steal your joy. Proclaim God’s faithfulness through it all and begin to visualize how mighty the Most High is and talk about that instead of your problems. Then, He will make you walk on high hills. High hills means that, He will elevate you and bring you out of troubles!
